  1. Cluster headache

  • This headache usually appears over one eye, and it mostly affects women. It is often reappearing, and may occur in a cycle or a group. It can cause severe pain on one side of the head. You may also experience symptoms like a nasal congestion, watery eye or a rainy nose. The cause of a cluster headache cannot be stated, but it appears when a certain nerve pathway is activated in the brain.

Treatment: Cayenne pepper, an active ingredient in capsaicin cream. Apply a little of it to the nostril, this will cause a blockade of the signals for nerve pain.

  1. Migraine

  • Migraines most commonly appear between the ages of 25 and 55, but in some cases they can appear regardless of the age. In America 38 million people have migraines. This type of headache is dangerous, as it comes with different neurological symptoms. Migraines come with a severe, intense and throbbing pain on one side of the head. It doesn’t occur very often but the pain can also be on both sides of the head. Other than the severe pain, you can experience symptoms like vomiting, nausea, dizziness, visual disturbances, extreme sensitivity to smell, light, sound, touch and numbness or tingling in the face. The symptoms occur from the top of the head downward.

Treatment: It has been concluded that lots of migraine patients benefit from vitamin B12 (riboflavin), omega-3 fatty acids and magnesium.
